Their new looks feature shimmering multi-toned fabric and nautical gold accents, all in the celebration’s signature color, Shimmering Seas. You’ll only be able to catch them in these festive outfits aboard “Silver Anniversary at Sea” sailings across the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
The “Silver Anniversary at Sea” celebration will be featured on cruises aboard all five Disney Cruise Line ships from May through September 2023. - New Castaway Membership Tier: DCL’s anniversary also heralds the unveiling of a brand-new membership tier for Castaway Club, which recognizes returning Disney Cruise Line guests with exclusive rewards and perks. Honoring 25 years of Disney magic at sea, members will now earn the distinction of Pearl status after 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations.
Cruises featuring the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” celebration will sail to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Europe, and Alaska during the summer of 2023.
In addition to celebrating the “Silver Anniversary at Sea,” DCL is continuing to build new ships. In fact, DCL recently reached a significant milestone in the construction of its next ship, the Disney Treasure, with the keel laying ceremony at Meyer Werft shipyard. The ceremony, which follows maritime tradition and brings good fortune, was celebrated with the placement of a newly-minted coin under the keel of the ship.
The commemorative coin used in the ceremony features an etching of Captain Minnie Mouse donning a new look that embodies the ship’s adventure motif. The theme of adventure, inspired by Walt Disney’s love of exploration, will pave the way for captivating onboard experiences that immerse guests in some of the company’s most legendary stories.
